The first in the ‘sinister star’ series, a gothic dark-fantasy mystery of power, inheritance, and the things the darkest secrets of light.
After vanquishing the dark lord, it’s suicidal to walk back into the sorcerous world—so of course, it’s what Sivire Sauvesque did.
In his freshman year at the aristocratic Invictus School of Sorcery & Icicle Arts, as a feared mafia scion, Sivire steps inside a world of blood and snow, hockey, idiots, and sinister spells—after making a friend for the first time in his life (sort of.)
Soon, slaughters start occurring across the imperium, and with a sarcastic wit and a family name that opens doors better left shut, Sivire investigates in the shadows—and the trail of blood of course leads to…light.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS
luciferovXI writes gothic and dark fantasy, and prefers to remain in the shadows; ‘the winter slaughters’ is her debut novel, and the first book of the ‘sinister star’ series.
She is a second-generation Chinese-Korean immigrant. Born and raised in Canada, attending French immersion school growing up, she finds inspiration in the darkest and most cynical corners of the world. While not writing, she likes listening to heavy metal, being a hater, critiquing inferior literature, and planning revolutions inside her head.
