Lucy Chen and SiliconRoshi AI Academy Launch Youth AI Ignite Club
ALBANY, CA — September 28, 2026 — Lucy Chen and SiliconRoshi AI Academy kicked off the Youth AI Ignite Club on Saturday, September 26, at TG Interhigh in Albany. Seven high school students attended the first session, and by the end of the afternoon, seven AI agents had been built on WukongDojo.ai.
The club is a standing, year-long program run by the academy and open to high school students across the U.S. and Canada. Students don't need to start a club at their own school. Each member works on one project over the school year and meets monthly online with founder Bill Wu or Chen, who serves as the club's college admissions coach, to show what they're building and work through where they're stuck.
The idea started with one student. Chen learned about a Lynbrook High School freshman who used AI to research food expiration dates and their environmental impact, a project that went on to win a major award.
"If a high school freshman can use AI to explore a real-world problem and create something meaningful, what might be possible for thousands of other young people if they have the opportunity to learn these skills?" Chen said.
Chen started her career as an engineer before becoming an author, coach, and now AI educator. "The fields have changed, but the spirit hasn't," she said. "Keep learning, keep exploring, and keep turning ideas into something real."
